Bank Clerk and PO Exam Syllabus


Bank clerk and PO exam is one of the most common exam to get a job in nationalised banks all over the India.Through this anyone can get recruited in top banks of India as a Clerk,PO Typist (English), Steno (English), Agricultural Clerks, Steno (Hindi), Typist (English and Hindi), Steno (English and Hindi), Clerk-cum-Cashier, Clerk-cum-Godown Keeper, Data Entry Operator and Telephone Operator etc.

To get into these posts in banks a candidate have to undergo a selection process conducted by various banks throughout the year which consist of a wrriten test followed by interview.Candidates first have to fill the form of banks whenever they release a vaccancy after that you will get a call letter for written examination which will consist of quantative aptitude and reasoning section as well as english and G.k section.All the sections will be consisting an cutoff marks to qualify mostly after that based on merit generated by written exam performance banks call candidates for interview and finally based on written and interview performance a final merit is generated.

SYLLABUS FOR WRITTEN TEST IS GIVEN BELOW:-

Reasoning Ability: This portion consists of questions that examine candidate’s skills to tackle arithmetical computation, analytical functions, questions related to symbols and their relationships. Questions from both verbal and non-verbal type is asked. Questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem­ solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number seeries, etc are there.

 English Language: This section will test your knowledge about grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of a passage in english language.


 Numerical Ability: The section includes questions of arithmetical computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationship between numbers, Simplification, HCF & LCM, Percentage, Average, Ratio & Proportion, Profit & Loss, Partnership, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Allegation, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Mensuration, Number Series, Approximate Values, Permutations & Combinations, Probability, Data Sufficiency, Data Interpretation and so on. Clerical Aptitude: This section will test candidate’s knowledge in handling office routine work like filing, abbreviating, indexing, etc. The test also scrutinizes the candidate's perceptual accuracy and aptitude. 

 General Awareness: The section comprises of questions testing the candidate’s basic knowledge on diverse subjects like Economy, Science and Technology, Banking Knowledge, Computer Knowledge, Current national and international Events, Polity, prominent personalities, Important Awards & Honors, Commissions ./Appointments/Resignations and Sport etc.

 Marketing: In order to attempt this section, the candidates should prepare the following topics: Concept of Marketing, Marketing Management, Marketing Investigation, Appointment of company, management and employees, Staff Management, Total Quality Management, Importance of Marketing, Marketing and Advertisement, Responsibilities of Marketing, Market and Business, Division of Market, Business Concept, Marketing Concept, Buyer and Seller, Concept of Buying and Selling, Needs of Consumers, Consumer Index Prices, Consumer Satification, Techniques of Consumer Satisfaction, Total Customer Value, Total Customer Cost, Factor Affecting Consumers, Theory of Bargaining etc



 Computer: This section will test your basic knowledge about computer hardware and softwares. The questions include following topics: Introduction of Computer and History, Operating and DOS, PC and System Software, Computer Net work, Computer Device, Window, MS Word, MS Excel, Internet Programming Language, Security Aspects for PC, E world , Advanced Technology Regarding Computer, Various Uses of Computer, Computer of Future etc.
