Astronomy is the branch of science in which we study and explore celestial objects such as Planets,nebulae,stars,galaxies,moon etc

As an astronomer you will observe celestial bodies and will find its shape,size,position,temparature & brightness sometimes its orbital routes also and after analyzing you have to give an interpretion which will benefit our nature and whole earth.sometimes You have to apply laws of motion in the interpretation & prediction.You will also indulge in prediction about earth atmosphere based on the data supplied by satellites and spaceship.So all in all its an interesting and challenging job which gives you an opportunity to explore whole universe at the same time gives you a great career.
After completion of astronomy studies youcan find a job  in reputed companies like Indian Institute of AstrophysicsNational Space Science CenterThe National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (NCRA-TIFR), Pune etc

Step5: Astronomer

Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) www.iiap.res.in--Entrance exam is held in November
Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is held in February.

Joint Astronomy Program (1 year) at Indian Institute of Science (IISc.)
